It’s that time of year again where artists start to announce their upcoming tours and here are our top 20 artist tour predictions for 2017/2018. 1) Ed Sheeran
Top of our list for artist tour predictions is Ed Sheeran who is currently the hottest artist in the world. His recently released album “Divide” has dominated the UK charts and made him the fastest ever selling male artist! At Villiers, we’ve been thinking out loud that as Ed Sheeran’s hugely successful arena tour will be ending soon, a stadium tour could be on the cards. The critically acclaimed Shape of You and Castle on the Hill artist has previously sold out Wembley Stadium for three nights in a row but will he return to Wembley? If Ed Sheeran announces a 2018 stadium tour, he is likely to perform in venues that include Croke Park in Dublin, Hampden Park in Glasgow, Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, and others that boast fantastic VIP hospitality facilities.

2) Pink
Pink is one of the biggest female artists, having sold over 47 million albums worldwide, won three Grammys and countless other achievements. Her previous tour in 2014, The Truth about Love, was labelled a smash success as she played the LG Arena in Birmingham and the O2 Arena in London. Welcoming her back, Pink’s next tour is likely to play both London and Birmingham and fans will be delighted to hear hit songs like Most Girls, Raise your Glass and even her latest song featured in the film Alice in Wonderland.

3) Led Zeppelin
Next year is legendary rockers, Led Zeppelin’s 50th anniversary and we can practically feel the reunion tour coming! On Robert Plant’s webpage it says, “Any time now…” and suspense has gone into overdrive. Imagine the chance to see Led Zeppelin reform and play their greatest hits to include Stairway to Heaven that would be an unforgettable night. It’s likely these English rockers would play arenas to include the London’s O2 Arena or perhaps even Wembley Stadium? A Led Zeppelin reunion tour would definitely be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

4) Britney Spears
Britney’s back! The iconic pop princess has finished her spectacular Las Vegas residency and has been announcing new performances across Europe. It seems likely a Britney Spears tour is coming. When she returns to the UK for the first time in six years, it’s likely she would be eager to play arenas such as the O2 Arena, Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham or Manchester’s Arena. It’s likely she will perform her chart-topping hits and her latest hits from Britney Spears’ 9th album Glory.

5) Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones released a comeback album of all time with their Blue and Lonesome album consisting of purely blues covers. As the album reached No.1 in the UK Charts, we’ve been speculating they will launch a Rolling Stones European tour to continue this labour of love. Potentially returning to the O2 Arena, where their 50 & Counting tour marked their 50th anniversary. Damn! Kendrick Lamar’s album, Damn, went platinum within months and his single Humble continued to climb both the UK and US charts. The American rapper has a 17-date tour across arenas in North America this summer, but due to his popularity with Damn in the UK, we’ve been speculating a Kendrick Lamar UK tour is on the cards in 2017/2018. After, Kendrick Lamar’s Coachella performances, his 2017 tour is being called the biggest tour of the year.

7) Katy Perry
Katy Perry recently announced she will be performing Glastonbury in 2017 and has started to release new music including pop tune Chained to the Rhythm. Katy Perry has discussed a new 2017/2018 tour and her new music with the press – claiming she’s been working with new producers and collaborating with new artists. Following on from her last sell out tour in 2014, it seems like Katy Perry will be hosted by some of the largest arenas in both the UK and internationally.

8) Sam Smith
Soulful singer Sam Smith has been away for far too long, but after he tweeted a fan saying a new album is coming – he promised – we’re putting a Sam Smith 2018 tour back on the cards. A four time Grammy winner, Sam Smith’s first hit album In the Lonely Hour was met with unrivalled success. Sam Smith became instantly popular, so make sure you don’t miss out on seeing what he’s got up his sleeve next. It’s likely the tour would see him performing live at venues that include Manchester Arena, London’s O2 Arena, Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, The SSE Hydro in Glasgow and Dublin’s 3Arena.

9) Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band
Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band is made up of members of legendary rock bands brought together to play the Beatles greatest hits and their own tunes. They have recently announced a series of dates touring North America which has got us thinking that Ringo Star and his All-Starr Band would perform a UK tour. Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band would likely play London’s O2 Arena, The SEE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Dublin’s 3Arena, the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham or potentially even the Royal Albert Hall. The question is, would previous Beatles band mate Paul McCartney join Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band on stage for their next tour?

10) Kanye West
Rumours have been circulating that Kanye West will continue his Saint Pablo tour in Europe and the UK. Many of us were left devastated when the “Gold Digger” artist cancelled his tour, but it seems he may be back. Though Kanye West hasn’t previously toured around the UK, it’s likely given his widespread popularity he would play venues that include London’s O2 Arena, Barclaycard Arena, The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Manchester’s MEN Arena and 3Arena in Dublin. He is likely to perform tracks off his latest album, The Life of Pablo, with the essential Kanye West stage presence and the artistic flair.

11) Spice Girls
It’s not possible…is it? Could the Spice Girls come back together for a tour? Mel B, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton have been keen to reform under the new name GEM. After a picture of them recording music was released in 2016 and then a track Song For Her was released, it seems this trio are keen to restart their music careers. Despite the Spice Girls reforming for the 2012 Olympic Concert, it seems Mel C and Victoria Beckham aren’t going to join the line-up. Even without the full members of the Spice Girls, a GEM tour announcement would delight thousands of fans. It seems the new spice girls, GEM would like to play Hyde Park, but it also seems likely they would play arenas such as the O2 Arena.

12) Taylor Swift
There was a time when Taylor Swift dominated the charts and the news. Taylor Swift is critically acclaimed as one of the biggest contemporary pop artists in the world, with her hit tune Shake It Off reaching iTunes No.1 in no less than 64 countries. She last toured in 2015 with he world tour 1989. Typically, Taylor Swift tours every two years which means a world tour must be just around the corner. Recently, her collaboration with Zayn Malik of the single I Don’t’ Wanna Live Forever was deemed a fantastic addition to her repertoire, her many fans wonder if that is the beginning of her next album? Would Taylor Swift play at Wembley Stadium and which of Taylor Swift’s many celebrity friends would join her on stage.

13) Justin Timberlake
Superstar artist Justin Timberlake is currently one of the hottest artists on the planet despite the fact he only releases an album once every six years. He’s known for his catchy anthems of Can’t Stop The Feeling, What Goes Around…Comes Around, Sexyback, Mirrors and Suit & Tie. With a new album that collaborates with Pharrell Williams coming soon, it’s likely Justin Timberlake will tour again. Justin Timberlake’s last tour in the UK included venues such as The SSE Arena, Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, London’s O2 Arena and the LG Arena in Barclaycard. This time around Justin Timberlake would hit many of the same arenas performing his greatest hits and latest tunes to a sea of excited fans. 14) Roger Waters
Roger Walters is known mainly as the co-founder and frontman for iconic band Pink Floyd who sold more than 250 million albums worldwide and enjoys legendary status wherever you go. Aficionados of rock music, regard Roger Waters as a hero and have led to him and his band mates being inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame. Now touring on the road, Roger Waters is performing his solo material across the US with the US + Them tour and we think he will come to the UK next. Roger Walters next album Is This The Life We Really Want? is predicted to be released as his US tour begins.

15) Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, ranked as one of the “100 Greatest Women in Music” (VH1 2012) and has won five Grammy Awards. Mariah Carey’s iconic vocals are known around the world for her legendary songs We Belong Together and Love Takes Time that she has recently performing at a Las Vegas residency. In late 2016, Mariah Carey and Lionel Richie announced a “All the Hits” tour around the US, that will start potentially in 2017. Speculation is rife that Mariah Carey and Lionel Richie will then go on with their “All the Hits” tour to perform in London’s O2 Arena to thousands of eager fans.

16) Lionel Ritchie
Widely adored, and incredibly successful, Lionel Richie has a special place in the hearts of the world, who know his classic songs like “Hello” word for word. Lionel Richie is one of the world’s greatest selling artists and the chance to see him perform live would truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When Lionel Richie and Mariah Careys “All the Hits” tour is back on track, it’s likely that after touring the US, the tour will come to the UK much to the delight of thousands of fans.

17) J-lo
Professional actor, singer, dancer, and mother of twins, is there anything Jennifer Lopez can’t do? The unrivalled success of Jennifer Lopez (J Lo) is apparent by her huge number of No.1 hits, that puts even the world’s biggest artists to shame. Forbes in 2012 ranked Jennifer Lopez as the most powerful celebrity in the world. J-Lo’s biggest successful single to date, On the Floor, is one of the best-selling singles of all time and the fantastic news is that it’s rumoured she will return to the UK for a 2018 Jennifer Lopez world tour. Previously, she has been performing a residency in Las Vegas, and is rumoured to be working on a new Spanish album and a collaboration with Drake!

18) Rag N Bone Man
Breakout hitmaker: Rag N Bone Man has quickly risen to the top of the charts with his chart-topping song Human. His unique style of hip hop won meant he was named the BRIT Critics’ Choice Award winner for 2017. Rag N Bone Man has seen widespread success across the globe, with his tour reaching a variety of states across the US. It’s his live performances that make Rag N Bone Man aka Rory Graham stand out from the crowds, captivating large audiences with his famous tunes.

19) Lorde
Lorde saw universal success with her breakout song, Royals, in 2013, and since then she has gone from strength to strength. Indie pop star: Lorde has since then released chart topping hits that include Tennis Court and most recently Liabiliy and Green Light. Lorde’s second album, Melodrama, will be released in June 2017. It seems likely after the release of her second album, Lorde will begin touring again and this time coming to the UK. At Villiers, we give her the green light!

20) Oasis
The last of the Villiers’ top 20 artist tour predictions is super band: Oasis. Wonderwall just won of the clever anthems formed by this genius band and with over 70 million records sold worldwide and receiving six Brit Awards, there are a lot of people keen to see a reunion tour of Oasis. Fans speculate that after the release of the film Supersonic detailing the life of Oasis that nostalgia must bring about a reunion tour in 2018. There is notably a lot of people betting on an Oasis reunion tour in a niche area of gambling, could someone have the inside scoop?
