Something From Nothing: could the Foo Fighters announce a 2018 tour?

Legendary rock band, the Foo Fighters, returned to Glastonbury Festival last weekend and performed a spectacular set to captivated audiences. With their new album to be released soon and, their Glastonbury performance a success, it seems likely a Foo Fighters stadium tour in 2018 will be announced.

On 19th September, the Foo Fighters will perform a special show at London’s O2 Arena to celebrate the venues 10th birthday! Other concerts celebrating the 02 Arena’s 10th birthday include Ed Sheeran, Alt-J and Jamiroqaui.

The Foo Fighters have been teasing out their new album Concrete and Gold which will be released to the public on 15th September 2017.  Concrete and Gold is their ninth album and is said to feature “the biggest pop star in the world” and, many have been busy speculating on who this mystery artist is. The Foo Fighters have been teasing fans with new performances of two singles from the new album at live concerts; Run and Lah Dee Dah.

No band has achieved a consistently high quality to their music and live concerts as the Foo Fighters, formed in 1995 by David Grohl from Nirvana, which is known as one of the biggest rock bands in the world. The Foo Fighters have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and have already released an impressive eight albums.

The Foo Fighters sold out two nights at Wembley Stadium back in 2008, praised as their biggest ever show, a momentous moment adored by over 86.000 fans. The iconic Foo Fighters concert at Wembley is immortalised as a DVD documentary for all to enjoy or better yet, experience the Foo Fighters live at Wembley Stadium for yourself should they announce a tour with VIP hospitality.

Now, we might be making Something From Nothing but given the upcoming release of a new album, surely a 2018 Foo Fighters stadium tour is on the cards. It seems likely that a Foo Fighters stadium tour would see them perform at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, Wembley Stadium in London, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Etihad Stadium in Manchester, Aviva Stadium in Dublin and Hampden Park in Glasgow. At Villiers, we provide premier access to fantastic hospitality for the hottest music events at select venues across the UK and Europe so make sure you get in touch if and when the Foo Fighters tour drops.
