November’s Autumn Internationals series draws battle lines along the Equator as Europe’s greatest rugby nations take on the might of the Southern Hemisphere.
England can afford to be confident going into the series, having thrashed a strong Australian side in June’s three-test series to reclaim the Cook Cup. But complacency will come at a cost. Despite New Zealand’s dominance in their three tests against Wales, the boys in red put up a valiant fight in the opening two games to cement their status as real contenders.
South Africa also showed their form, beating a dejected Ireland squad 2-1. Scotland had a comprehensive victory over Japan, but will they hold up when pitted against some of the tougher southern nations?
One thing we know for certain is that this year’s Autumn Internationals series will be hugely popular with fans from around the world. Here are our five best ways to get hold of tickets:
1. Join your nation’s Rugby Supporters Club
Whether your team is England, Wales or Scotland, sign up to your nation’s rugby supporters club and you can enter the ballot to win tickets to home internationals. Members also benefit from early-bird priority booking and discounts for other great events at rugby HQ .
As a debenture holder, you can buy tickets at face value and watch the heart-stopping action from the best seats in the house. Add your voice to the roar of the crowd at a range of tournaments, such as the RBS 6 Nations Internationals.
3. Become a member of your team’s rugby union
Whether it is the official home of English rugby, the Rugby Football Union, or the Scottish Rugby Union, all are at the very heart of the game. The official union websites are one-stop shops for tickets, fixture information and all of the most up-to-date news.
