It is great news for all fans of Tennis in the UK that Andy Murray has pledged his allegiance to Queen’s tennis for the rest of his career.
The Aegon Championships is one of the best places to experience British tennis in all it’s glory. Steeped with style, tradition and history, the British tennis season in the summer is marvelled around the world.
Having won the prestigious Queen’s tennis title for the previous two years, Murray is currently the reigning champion and having achieved five Queen’s titles so far in his career, he has surpassed greats including John McEnroe, Boris Becker and Leyton Hewitt who each won the title four times.
Last year he came from behind in the final to beat the uprising star Milos Raonic. In previous finals, he has overcome Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, Marin Čilić and his great friend and rival Novak Djokovic. This years tournament looks to be another fiercely contested affair with rumours that Rafael Nadal will make his long awaited return to the tournament in a bid to gain some momentum on grass courts ahead of The Wimbledon Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis Club; just weeks later.
