Will Britney Spears announce a UK tour?

Known as a ‘pop princess’, Britney Spears has been a pop culture icon creating instant hits and appealing to millions of UK fans. Since 2013, Britney Spears has been performing at her hugely popular residency in Las Vegas, but on 20th May her residency is over. As international performances are back on the agenda in 2017, will she return to perform in London as part of a UK tour?

She has recently taken to twitter to announce her first international performance dates, after her hiatus from international touring since 2011. Britney Spears will be performing two sets in Israel and the Philippines in June/July, and fans have been animated in demonstrating their eagerness for her to perform in London. Speculation is rife that a new UK tour announcement is sure to follow. Many can’t believe it’s been over two decades since instant classic “…Baby One More Time’ swept the nation.

The release of Britney Spears’ most recent album “Glory” in 2016, has been whole heartedly accepted by her fans at an epic success. This is her 9th album and Britney Spears shows no signs of slowing down in her production of true pop music. Her music has journeyed with new influences over the years but has always stayed lively, fun and full of character.

The critically acclaimed “Piece of Me” artist has a history of selling out large arenas when she previously toured. In fact, her 2011 “Femme Fatale Tour” was performed to more than 600,000 fans world-wide. In England, Britney Spears performed awe-inspiring shows in Birmingham, Manchester Arena, Newcastle, and London’s O2 Arena. Could 2017 see the return of Britney Spears to London for a residency at the O2 Arena or maybe The SSE Hydro in Glasgow?
