Currently the world No.1 Olympic Champion and inspiration to many, Andy Murray’s eyes are set securely on Wimbledon this year in attempt to achieve his third Wimbledon Championship.

But from his performance this year, will he take the Wimbledon Championship once again or will his elbow injury that forced him to bow out of the Miami Open slow him down? Make sure you’re front and centre with VIP Wimbledon hospitality to watch Murray battle it out this summer.

Andy Murray’s 2017 tennis season started with the Qatar Open where he played a fierce game but lost in the finals against Novak Djokovic. Despite his spectacular come back in the second half, Murray was unable to secure a victory.

Spectators we’re shocked when watching Murray play in the Australian Open. Murray lost a four-set defeat to Mischa Zverev who is ranked No.50 in the world. This is the lowest ranked player Murray has lost to at a Grand Slam since 2006. Both Murray and Djokovic went out early, with Roger Federer going from strength to strength to win the Australian Open.

Dubai’s Tennis Championships saw Murray claim his first championship title on this turf against Fernando Verdasco. Murray proved repeatedly throughout the match the he is a lethal opponent and fought back against his previous losses in the year.

Murray’s previous success took a turn for the worst when he went onto play the Indian Wells Master tournament. The public was stunned to see him fall against Vasek Pospisil, who currently ranks no. 129, losing in straight sets. Statistically this is Murray’s worst performance since 2011, which may cause fans of Murray to be concerned.

After the loss at Indian Wells Masters, Murray bowed out of the Miami Open with an elbow injury, rumoured to be a result of over training. He is back and refocused for the Monte Carlo Masters tournament, where he is moving into the second round to play Gilles Muller. With only a few tournaments ahead of Wimbledon, Murray will aim to build up momentum at the French Open and the AEGON Championships.
