It may be the middle of summer, but BAFTA 195 Piccadilly created their own winter wonderland last night providing us with a sample of what’s to come in Christmas 2017. Get in touch with our experts today and let us start planning your Christmas party!
Wandering past The Ritz and Fortnum & Mason towards BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, you expect a high standard of excellence to be located in the prestigious St James’, London. The downstairs of BAFTA 195 Piccadilly is a buzzing restaurant and bar, yet upstairs is where the festive oasis awaits.
The space was decorated with festive theming, including Santa’s desk, complete with present sacks. Walking around the room, there were three tables displaying Christmas decor, from the glamour of great Gatsby to the ice-cold display that wouldn’t be out of place in Narnia. Each very beautiful and ornate, sure to make add a bit of magic to any Christmas occasion.
The back of the room allowed you to peak behind two fake paintings, behind which was a different Christmas experience, one the traditional snow-covered Christmas trees, the other a hot Christmas on a beach. For however you choose to spend your Christmas.
A variation of mulled wine circulated filling the room with cinnamon, reminding those of us dreading the end of summer, that winter has its appeal. Of course, ample amounts of Champagne were also available from the smartly dressed waiting team that weaved in-between guests smoothly.
BAFTA 195 Piccadilly represented their Christmas menu’s in easily eaten delights, with starters shown in bite-size canapes and a delicious main course in bowl food form. After, guests were invited to enjoy spectacular cheeses and wine as dessert and for any cheese fan we can reveal these cheeses were the creme de la creme.
Full of the wonderful foods put on by BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, we were ushered into the private screening room to hear from Duncan Kenworthy, who produced films such as, Love Actually, Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral. This is part of BAFTA 195 Piccadilly’s latest experience ‘Inside Screen’, of providing a behind the scenes Q&A for every screening in their deluxe private screening room.
Once Duncan Kenworthy had shared his insights as one of the world’s greatest producers, we were invited to watch the classic Christmas film, Love Actually. BAFTA 195 Piccadilly displayed an inspired Christmas showcase and we look forward to seeing other venues prepare for Christmas party season.
