It seems that Pink isn’t the only pop icon staging a comeback in 2017 as it’s rumoured Christina Aguilera is looking to release a new album this year and to announce a tour in 2018. A new album in 2017 would mark Christina Aguilera’s first new album in over five years and speculation is rife as to what this new album will entail.

Christina Aguilera last released music with her album, Lotus in 2012, a new album will be Christina Aguilera’s eighth studio album. Christina Aguilera has been a regular regular face on US The Voice as a coach and judge. Since 2012, Aguilera has featured on hits such as Pitbull’s Feel This Moment and Cee Lo Green’s Baby, It’s Cold Outside. But a new album in 2017 is expected to be an independent album featuring some collaborative hits.

Collaborating on Christina Aguilera’s new album could be a variety of up and coming artists such as Zara Larsson, Elle King or Sia. Christina Aguilera and Sia collaborated for her album Bionic in 2010, with hits such as ‘Blank Page’, perhaps Sia will feature again on Aguilera’s upcoming album. Certainly, an intensely personal album is on the horizon, Aguilera tweets “Finishing touches to my heart” in reference to an album release.

There is an exciting upcoming project collaborating with the biggest female artists in music called ‘Served Like A Girl’ which will include Pink, Christina Aguilera, Little Mix, Natasha Bedingfield and Gwen Stefani. This project will be released on 3rd November, Aguilera contributes the single America as part of the soundtrack to a documentary about a group of female veterans.
