A preview of U2’s new music arrived in the form of their first single You’re the Best Thing About Me. U2 started work on their upcoming album three years ago, the album will cover personal and political themes. Upcoming single by U2, The Blackout combines details of both a political dystopia and a personal hardship in the life of U2’s front man Bono.

U2’s new album, Songs of Experience marks the long-awaited follow up to U2’s 2014 Songs of Innocence album.  To promote the release of Songs of Experience, U2 will announce a tour featuring incredible staging, world-class production but with a similar tone to their recent tour.

In 2017, U2 set out on their Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour, celebrating the first time U2 would perform the entirety of one of their biggest albums live. A full concert tour saw U2 playing the biggest stadiums around the world. Achieving rave reviews and critical acclaim, U2 were overwhelmingly praised for their spectacular performances, genius set list and commitment to production.

U2’s Joshua Tree Tour saw them play only one date in the UK at London’s Twickenham Stadium. A 2018 U2 tour may see them visit further UK stadiums, such as Etihad Stadium, Principality Stadium, Hampden Park, Stadium of Light, Murrayfield Stadium and returning to Croke Park in Dublin.
