What is it?
Trafalgar St James has been artfully redesigned as a beacon of style, sophistication and glamour. The choice of bold colours, dazzling golds and rich fabrics, brings you back to a golden age of luxury travel but will all of the perks of cutting edge technology. This hotel is London’s brand-new place to be and it looks like it will have a very busy year ahead.
Where is it?
Located looking onto Trafalgar Square with views across Nelsons Column, Trafalgar St James is incredibly well located. Moments from Charing Cross Station, and about eight minutes walk from Embankment station.
Why we love it?
As with many Londoners, we love a spectacular rooftop bar and the Trafalgar St James does not disappoint. Beautifully designed, this sophisticated space can endure any weather and looks onto one of London’s most iconic sites. A view so beautiful, the kindly doorman told us that despite only opening on Monday, there were already many proposals scheduled in.
The rest of the hotel is as stunningly designed, but not in the least bit intimidating. The hotel and the people who inhabit it are warm and friendly
How it works for events?
You are warmly greeted at the door, and then you have two choices for event spaces, either you head downstairs or to the rooftop. Starting with the rooftop, because who doesn’t love a view?
The private dining at the rooftop is called ‘Room’ and seats up to 14 guests but can also be used for cocktail receptions, you can also hire the entirety of the rooftop bar for a reception. With heaters and covers, the rooftop can be used at all times of the year, serving up exceptional British cuisine and inspired cocktails.
You can also choose to head to the bottom of the hotel, the Biblio Room, with low lighting and red and navy velvet furnishings, the Biblio Room is similar to a private members club. Half of the room is soft furnishings for a reception, the other half can be used for private dining with a long table seating up to 20 guests. The lighting features are remarkable and each of the pictures on the wall tells its own story. Ideal for private dinners, Christmas parties, receptions, press conferences and more, there are no other event spaces on this floor so you can enjoy complete privacy.
